FACETS is our welcoming adult community group that brings together people every Tuesday for an enjoyable mix of activities, learning, and companionship. Whether you’re retired, working flexible hours, or simply looking for a friendly group to join, we welcome adults of all backgrounds.

Stay Active & Engaged Our variety of activities offers something for everyone – from creative pursuits like art and flower arranging to more active options like table tennis, plus mental challenges through board games and discussions. It’s a great way to try something new or continue developing existing interests.
Learn & Explore
Whether you’d like to learn guitar, explore your artistic side, or discover a new craft, FACETS provides a supportive environment to develop new skills alongside friendly people.
Regular Structure & Social Time
Our Tuesday meetings provide a pleasant rhythm to the week and the chance to be part of an ongoing community. Many members particularly value the social aspects – the coffee breaks and shared lunch are often highlights of the day.
Our Weekly Programme
Every Tuesday from September 16th to November 25th, 2025
Morning Session (9:30am – 10:45am)
Choose from:
• Music for Pleasure – Enjoy and explore music together (Primary Room)
• Think Young and Slim – Gentle fitness and wellness (New Room)
• Art – Express your creativity (Main Hall)
• Guitar for Beginners – Learn a new skill or brush up old ones (Chancel)
Coffee Break (10:45am – 11:15am)
The heart of our community! Relax, chat, and connect with fellow members over refreshments
Late Morning Session (11:15am – 12:30pm)
Plenty of variety:
• Board Games – Strategy, fun, and friendly competition (New Room)
• Question Time – Lively discussions and mental stimulation (Primary Room)
• Scrabble for Fun – Wordplay with friends (New Room)
• Guitar – Continue developing your musical skills (Chancel)
• Table Tennis – Keep active and have fun (Main Hall)
• Flower Arranging – Create beautiful displays (Main Hall Kitchen)
Lunch Together (12:30pm – 1:30pm)Share a meal and deepen friendships (New Room)
Afternoon Activities (1:30pm – 3:00pm)
• Active Retirement – Group activities and occasional visits (Primary Room/Various locations)
• Creative Crafts – Hands-on creativity and skill-sharing (New Room)
Special Events to Look Forward To
• October 5th, 2025 – FACETS Service at Church (celebrate our community together)
• October 13th-17th, 2025 – FACETS Holiday at Studley Castle, A Warner Hotel (what an adventure!)
• December 2nd, 2025 – Christmas Meal (festive celebration)
